I am trying to change my Apple ID on my phone from my daughters email back to mine. It keeps saying it’s not available. It’s my email, and is the one currently in use for itunes and apps. Why can I not change or add it as my main sign in?

Have you tried signing out of your daughter's ID and then signing in with your ID? If I am understanding what you are trying to do, you don't need to make a name change to use your ID on the phone.
