Apple TV 2 & Catalina

If I upgrade to Catalina can I still play/view movies/TV Series/Music that are on my Mac Mini from my Apple TV 2?

Apple TV Catalina Good evening Does Apple TV stream (I don't want to save my movie files to my laptop). If it can stream how can I put the movies in the Cloud? I run Catalina so don't have all the latest features. Does it synchronise between Macbook Pro, Iphone and Ipad? Do I have to tell it to do that? Iphone has an extra movie on it not on other devices. How do I rescue it? Ipad has many movies, shown under recommendations, which I want on all devices but it seems I can only keep on Ipad or delete. I appreciate your help.

stream home movies from Mac with Catalina to 3rd generation Apple TV I have a third generation Apple TV. I am trying to stream home movies from a MacBook with Apple TV (the app). I copied the home movie into Apple TV. When I click on the "computers" icon I get an error that it can not find my library. If I us an old MacBook running Lion, it works fine. The manual for the Apple TV says to turn on home sharing in iTunes which is gone from Catalina. I would appreciate it if anyone has an idea. Thanks very much!

I think you are asking if Family Sharing will still work. The answer is yes, however considering the age of your Apple TV 2 (almost 10 years ) you may want to consider upgrading to a HD or 4K Apple TV.
