I turned off iCloud accidentally and lost photos

I turned off iCloud accidentally and about 1000 photos disappeared. Would I be able to get these photos back in anyway? (Turning on iCloud again?) or are they completely gone?

When you turned it off it asked if you wanted to keep the content on your phone. You apparently said NO. But if you turn it back on then the photos (and everything else synced to iCloud) will be reloaded on the phone. It’s best to do this when the phone is connected to Wi-Fi.
