HELP. My Stickies just disappeared

MacBook Pro just updated (10.15.1)and my Stickies disappeared.

How do I get them back?????

APPLE Chat Online helped me solve WHERE the "hidden" Stickies had been moved to after latest OS Update, when they all disappeared.

Here is HOW TO FIND/RETRIEVE THEM AGAIN (if you do not have a backup:

Click on desktop! (off of open programs)

In top row towards the right - Click on GO.

Now hold down the OPTION KEY and midway down is LIBRARY.

Click on it.

IMPORTANT-> next go to SEARCH FIELD and type: Stickies

They appear ... and you can select the ones you want to retrieve. VOILA. !!!

If you import them them to NOTES you can EXPORT them to Stickies again....

If you follow this - it will save you 1-1.5 hours on the phone with Apple - it took several techies to get me there!

If you were running Mojave or earlier and just upgraded to Catalina, then the Dashboard stickies have been moved to the Stickies app.

I went to Finder --> Application --> Stickies ... and it is NOT there. Is that where you thought they might be???

Very frustrated. Had some important #s and info on a sticky that is now GONE ...! Grrrrr.

Yes, although IIRC another post on these forums mentioned that macOS popped up a window asking about the Stickies the first time Catalina was booted. From what I recall of the post it mentioned that if you accidentally clicked through the message without carefully reading it you could lose the old Dashboard stickies. I'm not sure if this true or not.

You should be able to restore them from a backup, but how this would be accomplished I am not sure since those stickies would be associated with the old Dashboard version. If another user doesn't have an idea, then you may need to contact Apple Support directly by clicking on the "Contact Support" link at the top right of this page.
