New MacBook Pro 16" Battery Cycle count 2

Got brand new MacBook Pro 16" from Apple online Store on Monday. Checked the battery cycle count and its only at 2?? Is that ok? Should that not be MUCH higher if this is a new machine/battery?

That's the first I've heard where the impression was that it was a limit. But yeah it's only a running count that will only go up. Even if it reaches Apple's design specification (1000 cycles) it won't suddenly stop working. There are some people with well over 1000 cycles who have found it's still working OK.

Most of the complaints I've seen were that it wasn't at zero since it was sold "new". A device may have undergone production testing (to weed out defects) before being boxed. Also - a cycle count could be with a small range in a new battery. Sometime it takes a few cycles before it starts settling down and providing maximum charge.
