Siri will open my camera on my iPhone 7 but not take the picture

In the title. Siri will not actually take the photo on command

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about taking a picture with Siri.


This article has the info, and shows Siri will open the Camera app, but you will still need to press the button to take the picture. Take photos with the camera on iPhone - Apple Support


"Ask Siri. Say something like: “Open Camera.” Learn how to ask Siri."


With iOS 13, you use a Siri Shortcut. We were able to test this by typing in "Take a Photo" and then choosing the back or rear camera, then typing in "Save Photo" and choosing to save it to Recents. This article will help: Use Siri Shortcuts - Apple Support - Apple Support
