I got an email saying that since one of my family members had bout a new apple device (Which they did) that me and everyone in my family was eligible for a free year of Apple TV+ but I don’t remember going through the process of confirming that I wanted it or not. How to see if I did it or not

Purchasing a new device qualifying device (iPad, iPhone, Mac, iPod Touch)grants you access to a 12 month trial or Apple TV + but you have to go into the TV app and claim it once you have the device setup, it isn't automatic. Whoever has that device will have the main subscription and as long as you have family sharing setup the other members of that group would also get access.
Apple originals are what comprise the Apple TV + service, they aren't free though some of the first couple episodes may be available to view without the subscription. Once the free trial is up you would pay the monthly fee if you chose to continue using the service.
Did work couldn’t see it maybe I never did it but are apple originals free?
