My Photo stream enabling option is not showing up on my mac

Did you create your AppleID only recently?

If you have a new AppleID, you cannot use My Photo Stream. It is only available for users with an older AppleID created before December 2018 or so.

* If you recently created your Apple ID, My Photo Stream might not be available. Use iCloud Photos to keep your photos and videos in iCloud.

My Photostream and iCloud photo's can't be used together nowadays.

• Open Photo's
• On the Menubar, click on Photo's, Preferences
• Click on the tab iCloud
• Deselect iCloud photo's and you'll see the option Photostream. Select iCloud photo's again and the option Photo-stream has disappeared again

I am using Mac OS catalina 10.15.2 in system preferences > iCloud in front of photos there is no box of option button , so I can't choose photo stream .

The Apple ID was created long back , yes it was secondary authentication account in the past but after installing Mac OS catalina it was converted to 2FA .

The photo stream feature don't exist more .

If you open the app Photo's on your Mac and go to Photo's, Preferences and iCloud -photo's is checked, there is no option to enable photo-stream

If you uncheck I-Cloud photo's, you'll get the option to enable photo stream (in Dutch: Mijn fotostream)

On the sidebar, photo stream (Mijn fotostream) is visible:

"Since macOS Catalina you have to make a choice between iCloud photos and photo stream. It is no longer possible to use both services together as this was possible in recent versions. Note that this is only the case if you have a new Mac or have reinstalled macOS. If you have had photo stream active under an older version together with iCloud photos, this will remain active until you deselect the option."

My Mac is old but don't use photo stream ?

It's when you have a new Mac, that you have to make the choice
