whenever i put my Macbook to sleep for few hours when i awake it the screen freeze as soon i put in my login informations. the error massage as soon i am able to login is the following ;

I didn't mention that i installed new SSD 1 terabyte hard drive to extend the memory of my mac. I contacted the company i bought it from and they send me some instructions which helped and solved the issue. i would recommend it for anyone who is having this issue


I have a few suggestions that should help to correct this problem.


  • First I would have you perform two very simple resets here:

PRAM Refresh: https://i.imgur.com/9YJuzWh.png

SMC Refresh: https://i.imgur.com/QgUD7oC.png

(these do not negatively affect your data)


  • Then, open Terminal in your Applications folder or Spotlight, and copy & paste the command line below into the box, and press enter afterwards. You'll likely be prompted to enter your mac login, and you may do so. You may also receive a warning that you are making changes. This is normal and you may proceed.


sudo pmset -a standby 0


  • (You'll enter Terminal in Spotlight to open terminal, then enter the sudo command into terminal)
  • Then this problem should be corrected. If you need to confirm that the above setting was properly set, open your System Report, select the 'Power' option, and then check the 'Standby Enabled' value. It should say 0.


I hope that solved the issue for you as it did for me

It happens now on a regular basis if i close my mac lid to put it to sleep for few hours.

What is this <:kHW_IntelIrisProItem> ? Look for an updated driver for your macOS.


Unplug it to test.

Hello Jose,

when it asked me for the password my login to Mac password worked. If you bought the computer from someone and you didn’t format and delete the laptop you might need to get the password.


go you your Mac users and see how many profiles are there and if there is any you try to delete them or rest your login password, and that might help
