Folder Icon

I cant get the icons to change without showing a background i am using a png with a transparent background but it still shows the white checkered background.

Why Does the Icon of a Folder Doesn't show up? I've set a pic as a folder icon but when it shows up on dock, all I see is a bunch of apps in a folder, but has no icon over it, and I really don't like it. Can someone explain me why and if it's possible, how to set it on dock?

Change icon size in the "Open File" Finder menu When I change my file icon size in Finder it doesn't change in the upload/open file menu. This is pretty annoying because these icons have somehow changed size to be very small and I haven't found a fix for this. I've tried opening the view options settings and changing the icon size and setting it as default for all folders, but that doesn't seem to help.

Wallpaper : Icons and Text: How can I change the color of the text to make it much easier to read? I upgraded to the new sonoma... and with the wallpaper pictures in the background, it's much more difficult to read the text underneath the small icons and folders on the desktop. Can I change the color????? thanks in advance.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
