So my dad bought me a iphone 11 for Christmas and i was extremely grateful and i thought it was meant to be waterproof so i took it in the shower with me and then once i get out i start to play music to find that one of the speakers is cracking and has been doing it for a while now. I have also watched videos of people putting it in pools without cases. Does this mean there was a manufacturing error with my phone?

Water damage is not covered by warranty, so I would stop using and power down the phone for a day to let it dry and pray nothing more than the speaker gets affected

A phone is not waterproof. It is water and splash resistant. You should never expose it to or submerge it in water if at all possible. Unfortunately, you may have damaged it beyond repair. I would suggest getting an appointment at an Apple Store for an evaluation and possible out of warranty replacement.
It's designed to a water resistant standard, but it's not guaranteed. I'm sure that some people who do what you did once find it still works, but it's still taking a chance that the water resistance doesn't hold. In addition to that, every time it gets exposed to liquid it will degrade the seals.

No. They didn't. Water resistant is not waterproof.

No. It means you should NOT have exposed it to water.
It is not waterproof. It is water resistant. There is a big difference.
