Remove Catalina update

I automatically downloaded the Catalina update on my Mojave system but I don't want to install it.

I want to keep Mojave and I want to delete the Catalina update files to save disk space.

How can I remove them without damaging anything?

can this downloaded os update be found and removed? I unchecked the "download new updates when available" too late, and now Catalina appears to have been downloaded to my computer and I'm already really tired of being asked daily if I',m ready to restart my computer and "finish" the install. I absolutely do not want this upgrade and I'm really nervous to think of it lurking onboard, waiting for me to make a mistake. Is it possible to remove whatever was actually downloaded? Where is it it and how to I go about removing these files?

Where is Catalina update files located? My Software Update for Catalina stalled at near 60% downloaded 3 times! So I lost more than 12 GB of my space. Where does that file get stored? I want to delete it.

Just drag the installer to the Trash and empty the Trash.
