can't install fonts on MacBook Pro 16"

Just got my MacBook Pro 16" today. It stalls every time I try to install a new font with font Book. Any thoughts???

Unable to install fonts I am unable to install any of the fonts that I've purchased/downloaded from my preferred designer to Font Book. I've had several of these fonts previously installed on a PC, but getting them installed on my MacBook has been impossible. As this is my first MacBook, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. When I try to install, the installation progress bar appears and then immediately disappears without actually installing.

Try installing the fonts by just drag/dropping their files into /Library/Fonts and restarting.

Actually, many applications will immediately recognize new fonts added this way and most will recognize them if you restart the application.
