Somehow one of my third party apps on my iPhone disappeared. But If I search for it I can find it.
If I go to App Store and look for Hidden Purchases it is there. But I shows as already bought and I can't download it again.
How can I restore it so that it is visible on my home screen again?

Remove the restrictions set using Screen Time. There is no other way you make it appear.
I found a way to solve my problem. I deleted the app (it was visibel and possible to delete from Settings->General->IPhone Storage).
I then downloaded the app from App Store again! Now it is back on my home screen as it used to be;-)

This is for future occurrences...
iPhone apps are either inside a folder or on home screen. It is hidden only if you are using Screen Time Restrictions. You could have located your app from Spotlight, the result of spotlight will also show you the folder in which the app resides.
