FIXED: Late 2008 Apple Cinema Display - Black Screen But MacBook Pro Detects That It Is Plugged In

This thread has been closed but, given I had the exact same issue, thought I'd post a fix.

Of the steps on this page, resetting SMC got the display working on both a newer model Macbook Air and an older Macbook Pro.

27" Cinema Display (A1407) does not turn on Hi there, we have an A1407 which was used until the end of last year with a MacBook Pro M1 without issues. Now I plugged it in to different Macs (MacBook M1, MacBook Intel, iMac) and simply nothing happens. It also does not show up in any of the system information boxes (neither under 'Displays' nor 'Thunderbolt'). Any ideas what the issue could be or if there is any chance to revive the nice display. Apple Pro Display XDR charges MacBook and other devices but no screen is being displayed Hi, I've been using my Apple Pro Display XDR for over 3+ years now. During these years I've had several issues and reported one of them to Apple, namely: My Macbook(s) are being charged, but no screen will be displayed, as in a totally black screen. The MacBooks don’t even recognise the screen in settings. The first time I reported this to Apple, a NVRAM reset helped the issue. I've had to use this solution once a year, but now the screen isn't working anymore and NVRAM reset doesn't work. I’ve been testing this issue with a MBP (2019), MBP (M1) and MBP (M2) but SMC / NVRAM reset doesn’t work. Anyone got any tips? I've read stories on this community people often think the screen is 'asleep' but can't be woken up. Are more people experiencing this issue?

macbook pro and led cinema MacBook Pro 2022 connected with led Cinema Display 27 inch (2010) and it's working but: when I close the MacBook Pro the display goes on black. With my earlier MacBook the display stays on and I could use the mouse and the keyboard. Now I don't know how to do this.
