Sharing your photo and contact information on iMessage

Every time u try to share my name and photo with other iPhones it pops up with a message saying that my Icloud and iMessage accounts are different. But they are the same as of what I can see. What do I do to set this up?

Hi there, Amandagrimes1.

I see that you're unable to share your name and photo in the Messages application. You receive a message that you're using a different Apple ID in iCloud and Messages, and I'm glad to help.

Add your contact info on iPhone -- Messages uses the information you've put in My Card in the Contacts application. Make sure you've set that up. This page of the iPhone User Guide provides the steps you need.

Sign in with your Apple ID -- Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud to check which ID you're signed in with. Then go to Settings > Messages > iMessages to compare. If the Apple ID on this screen is the incorrect ID, tap it and select "Sign Out", then restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Once you're back to the Home screen, tap Messages and sign in with the correct ID.

Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, or Mac -- If you're using the wrong ID in iCloud, follow the steps in this article to sign out of the incorrect ID and sign back in with the correct one.

If this doesn't correct the problem, please describe the issue in greater detail. Please include the full text of any messages you receive. The more information you provide, the better we'll be able to offer additional guidance.

Let me know how that goes, and take care!
