Activation locked apple watch

I've just bought a used apple watch 4 but I just found out that it's activation locked. I've tried to contact the seller but I can't get in touch with him... is there a way to unlock the activation lock?

No the only person that can remove that lock is the person that set up the watch originally with his apple id.
