I brought a apple watch 6 off eBay which has a activation lock still on it .The gentleman says that he cant get the old information as he brought it second hand as locked. is there anything I can do to get it unlocked

I hope you didn’t pay a lot for it because you can’t return it for a refund and you cannot get it unlocked. It would not surprise me at all if it is stolen. Recycle it responsibly and next time ask your questions before you spend your money.

No, if the seller did not list it as locked contact the seller, get your money back, and return the watch. If they refuse contact the eBay fraud section.
