If I purchased an Apple Watch second hand and unable to contact the seller to take off the activation lock is there any hope to unlock the watch

I purchased a Apple Watch second hand. Activation lock is on and I no longer have the ability to contact the person. Is there any hope?

If the Apple Watch has an Activation Lock on it, you will have to contact the seller to have it removed. If you cannot do so, then the watch is unusable and useless to you.
