Pairing new watch however phone says not updated with latest iOS. When I check phone settings it says. Phone is updated with latest ios12.4.4. Still won’t allow pairing - says phone not updated !!!arghh

Your new Watch is pre-installed with iOS 6.x which requires an iPhone running iOS 13.x, which your iPhone cannot run. You will need to either get a newer phone or return the Watch for a refund.

Trying to pair new watch - pairing says iPhone not up to date. When I check phone for updating it says iOS is up to date 12.4.4 is current. Why won’t it allow pairing?
