Creating pdf from Safari

I recently discovered the pdf creator function in my old i-phone 5. I was delighted to be able to create multi-page pdfs from Safari simply by clicking the square icon with the arrow and sending the pdf to Books. This week I upgraded to an i-phone 8 and to my frustration the same operation only creates a single page pdf of the content visible on the Safari view without scrolling down (not the whole article/document). I tried scrolling to the end before creating the pdf but then it only created a single page of the end of the article. Please can someone help with this?

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're trying to save a webpage as a PDF in the iOS Books app, but aren't seeing it saved as multiple pages. I'm happy to help!

After saving a webpage as a PDF to iOS Books I was able to scroll sideways to the right, instead of downward, to get to the end of my document. I would suggest trying this as your first step, if you have not already.

Should the issue continue, I'd recommend going through the following steps. Try them in order, testing between each:

Force close any open apps: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support, then restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support.
Check for, and install, any available updates for your iPhone: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
Back up your iPhone: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support and then reinstall the iOS software using the "Reinstall iOS" section of If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.
