Bootcamp 6 drivers direct download for Windows 10

Hi all. I installed Windows 10 on an external SSD, no problems EXCEPT I cannot get any of the drivers. So when I boot into Windows, Wi-Fi does not work. Neither does my keyboard or trackpad, but I have a USB board and mouse that work fine so not a big issue. Everytime I go into Bootcamp Assistant and click "Download Windows Support Software", I get this error..."Download could not continue. An error occurred while downloading Windows support software". Running Mojave 10.14.6 on a 2016 Touchbar MB Pro. what do I do??? Please help!

Find an external storage device. A Flash drive will work perfectly. Connect it to the Mac. This should be formatted as FAT32.
In macOS, double-click on the DMG file.
Copy all the files from the DMG to the USB drive.
Switch to Windows with the USB still connected.
Run setup.exe from the Bootcamp folder.
Test.

Since you are now in Downloads, run

./brigadier -h

Also, run

ls -l brigadier*

Not sure what that is. Do I run it in Mojave or W10? I'd have to download it in Mojave since I don't have Wi-Fi when I switch over

I appreciate your help, but I don't understand any of this. I downloaded the file but thats about it. I'm not a programmer so this is literally a different language to me.
