I can’t turn off Apple TV subtitles on the programmes l watch on my Samsung tv

I can’t turn off subtitles on the programmes l watch on my Samsung tv. I can get to the feature on settings, but l can’t deselect it. Not that l turned it on in the first place.

Its not in settings. While watching a movie or show in the Apple Tv app, press the down button or down direction on the remote's navigation pad / control to bring up the language options.

  • During playback, press the down button on the smart TV or streaming device remote to show the Subtitles pane, then select an option.

For instance, my Samsung remote has a directional circle with the o.k button in the center. If you press down on the circle / navigation pad while watching a movie, it should bring up the language options.

Unfortunately l don’t see these options. I just started watching AppleTV on my Samsung and it has English subtitles coming up by default. The trouble is when l go into settings on the app/atv programme l’m watching, there’s no option to turn it off. You can change fonts and language, but not disable it. Not that l can see anyway.
