Final Cut Pro X file sharing to DVD fails

I have a 7.14 GB project that I'm trying to burn directly to a double layer DVD (optical drive is apple dvd burner) but it gets to about 35% on the sharing and then I get an error message that says "The share operation "DVD" has failed. The operation couldn't be completed. (com.apple.Compressor.CompressorKit.ErrorDomain error -1.)

I've restarted FCPX multiple times, updated it, updated my computer to Catalina, etc. but nothing works. Also, I'm working on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports).
