No sound from iPhone XR to mini-projector through HDMI cable and adaptor

Hi,

I am having issues getting sound to come through on my mini-projector when connected by HDMI though a lightning-HDMI adaptor. The projector and HDMI cable work fine, as video and sound work perfectly well when I connect my MacBook Air. It’s just my iPhone that will not work properly! Any advice would be great.

Help getting audio with lightning adapter Hi, I am connecting an iPad Air to a projector using the lightning-to-HDMI adapter. So the adapter plugs into the iPad (via the lightning port) and then the HDMI cable from the projector connects to the adapter. The image shows up on the projection screen perfectly. But there is no sound. When I unplug the adapter, the image disappears (obviously) but the sound immediately plays through the iPad speaker. Plug the adapter back in and the image shows up but the sound disappears. There are no speakers in my projector, so I need the sound to play through the iPad speaker. When I plug the HDMI cable directly into a PC laptop, the sound plays through the laptop speakers. But when I plug it into the lightning adapter, there is no sound. What am I doing wrong here? I explored all of the audio settings in the iPad but didn't see anything. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! :)

No Sound from projector I recently bought a lightning to hdmi adapter for my iphone 8 and i connected it to a mini projector from kodak, i can see video quality but can't hear sound using the netflix app. The sound and video both work for everything else. The hdmi is brand new and the adapter is also brand new. I've seen comments saying its the netflix app but im not really sure if thats true, if it is , is there anther way around this so i can hear sound

No sound when connecting Iphone/ipad to a monitor through HDMI I connected my devices to an external monitor through HDMI adapter. There is no sound when i play a video. I tried to connect a headphone to the ipad/iphone, in addition I tried to connect Bluetooth headphone to the iPhone/iPad, but still i have the same issue “NO SOUND “. Note: the monitor has no output port for audio. any help ????
