Transferring phones

I switched sim cards from a iPhone 5 to a iPhone 8plus. Photos, apps, and contacts aren’t transferring. Can u help me

That would be because the SIM does not contain any of the iPhone data. You would need to transfer data as described in the link that kb1951 provided. The SIM only contains your cellular account information.
