Apple Watch UI reboot after Activity notifications

My Apple Watch Series 4 frequently has a UI reboot when I tap on an activity notification, almost always the ones that correspond to meeting one or more of the week-based goals. I tap on the notification, and rather seeing details, the Apple icon appears and the UI reboots.

Apple watch control panel/notifications don’t work As many have noticed a thousand times and for a long time, this issue is still happening in the newest apple watch series 6. The control panel or notifications won’t open although everything else works. I have to force reset my watch almost every morning and sometimes multiple times in one day. Apple Watch SE can’t swipe up or down for notifications I’ve had my watch about two weeks. Every few hours or so the notifications and control center won’t show when I swipe up or down. I can still swipe side to side. If I restart it works again, but I don’t want to have to keep restarting it. Any help, please?!

Try a forced reset;

To force reset your Apple Watch, press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds, then release both buttons when you see the Apple logo.
