I’m having the same problem. I have an iPhone 11 I just got for Xmas and I have to keep my Bluetooth off in my 2017 4 runner. It says it’s not compatible. I keep checking to see if I need to update my entune but there is no update.

When you connected the new phone, did you unpair the previous phone or delete it from the car's head unit?
Yes I deleted the old phone. Paired the new phone and the new phone is all updated as well as the vehicle.
I'm guessing that Entune is something proprietary for Toyota? If so, you will need to address that with them. Also, they should be able to support you connecting your device to their vehicle. Every vehicle that I've purchased since the iPhone was originally released, has made sure that my iPhone was connected to the vehicle before I left the lot. This is especially true now with handl held phone restrictions in our state.
Then contact Toyota for assistance. I have no issues with iPhone 11 or 11 Pro Max staying connected to either of our cars.
So you are saying that you attempted to pair your iPhone to your Toyota, and it wouldn't work? I'm not sure what you mean by "the same problem>" Same as what? You do not indicate that. If you have tried everything here to pair your phone to the car, If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod doesn't connect to or work in your car - Apple Support, then I suggest contacting Toyota to see if there is an update for their vehicle software. Also, the dealer should be able to assist you in pairing the phone and the vehicle.
Sorry, no I paired it. Entune works for like 30 seconds then shut off and restarts, then it says it’s not compatible with iPhone. It continues todo this over and over until I shut my Bluetooth off on my phone. I had the iPhone 6 before and never had any problems.
Well I just received this iPhone 11 for Xmas, so I already owned my 4Runner. Besides that, I had an iPhone 6 Plus prior to this one and I had no problems with my audio system which is ToyotaEntune before now. So, that kinda makes me think it may be an Apple issue. I will call Toyota tomorrow and check.

Yes, it is the 13.3 iOS version. Thank you for your help. I will post any info I find out from Toyota.

Then it's time to get Toyota involved. One final question. There was an update a while ago for issues with car connection. Are you updated to iOS 13.3, the latest iOS version.
