iCloud Drive

All of a sudden my 1 Tb SSD drive in my MacBook Pro has gone from about 60% full to about 90% full. Could this have anything to do with iCloud Drive? I don't need everything on my Mac stored in iCloud as I have two external backup drives which I rotate every day.

Thanks, Eric. Looks like I have 120 Gb stored in iCloud Drive. I'm uncertain why I am even using iCloud Drive. If I try to delete data from iCloud Drive I get a message that everything will be removed from the Desktop and Documents folder on this Mac and will remain available on iCloud Drive. I think I want to delete them from iCloud Drive and keep them on my computer. Obviously I am not grasping the concept of what is occurring. Thanks for your help.
