iMac frozen due to too many desktop icons
I accidentally exported my iPhoto library to my desktop instead of a folder and now my IMac won’t let me do anything. I can still move the mouse but can’t click on anything.

Restart in Safe Mode and get to work. Hold down the Shift key on startup until it boots in Safe Mode, this can take up to 10 minutes.

In safe mode will it still load desktop items?
It will give you a bit more resources & you may be able to move things out.
Possibly but that is your best option at this point.
