Best way to remove smudges off the screen?

My question's self-explanatory.
Obviously it would be best that I keep my hand clean at all times, but sometimes that proves difficult. So what's the best/safest way to remove screen smudges? Cheers.

A guy at a camera store showed me this trick. Take a strip of scotch tape, the frosty looking kind, and lay it across the iPhone screen... then pull the tape up. Pulls smudges, oils and dirt off the screen. Repeat as many times as needed to traverse the entire surface. Works better/ easier than anything else I have tried.

Best suggestion here. Really works! Scotch "Magic" tape stickiness just right. Removes smudge and grease. Use Magic tape and then finish with micro-cloth.

I know this will vary widely depending on what specific type of glasses cleaner you use, but does anyone know if (in general) cleaning fluid marked for cleaning glasses is safe to use on the screen? I know it won't damage the glass, but I'm more wary of damaging the anti-grease coating. I've read Apple documents saying that things like Windex can strip the coating but I wonder if this applies to specialized glasses cleaners as well.

A very good method is to get a decent paper towel and wet it. Then take a small drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid (or some other brand) and get your hands and the paper towel nice and sudsy. Rinse the paper towel with water to get most of the suds out and squeeze it almost dry. Wipe down your phone with it and it will be sqeaky clean. The lightly damp towel with the remnants dishwashing suds will eliiminate all traces of oils and grease. Works better than water alone. I've done this since I bought the phone and mine looks like new.
