Scratch from sending macbook pro to service center

I sent macbook pro to get the screen replace and it is defective from manufacturer. After I got it back I found out that there is a long scratch on the bottom of my macbook pro. I have always use the case from incase and there was no scratch when I gave it to apple. This is very disappointing. I don't think the store will do anything with cosmetic. I tried to clean it but it is a real scratch so I don't know how to remove that. I guess i have to live with it.

Did the store not inspect the computer and give you a condition report when you dropped it off? Did you not inspect the computer before taking it from the store to ensure the condition was the same as that stated in the report? You need to compare the condition of the computer to the initial condition report prior to accepted the computer. The condition report protects the customer as well as the store.

The same thing happened to me several years ago and I refused to accept the repaired computer from the store until the damage was repaired or I was compensated. After about a week the store manager called and asked me to pick up the computer and the initial repair cost was heavily reduced.
