text line in the wrong place in messenger

On the iPad Pro with the external keyboard, when using Messenger, The text line is either hidden or showing up on top of previous texts rather than at the bottom of the screen. Is there a way to solve this problem? After restarting and reinstalling the app, the problem persists.
