New Iphone

So I just got an iphone XR and it was a big drama scene because I didn't know my account password but we got that fixed and All of my information transferred over. But only my old photos that I had deleted from my phone transferred and not my newest ones that Ihad backed up to the icloud. How would I get those photos off my old phone?

iPhone XR, iOS 12

Hello kennedy285,

If I'm understanding you right, you're missing photos after transferring data from your old iPhone to your new one. I know how important photos are, and I'm happy to help you resolve this.

Was your data restored to your new iPhone via an iCloud backup, or was it synced to your iPhone from iCloud? If an iCloud backup was restored to your new iPhone and the only photos you see are photos you previously deleted, it's possible the backup was not very current. However, if you have iCloud Photos enabled on your old phone those new photos should be stored in iCloud and sync to your new iPhone. In this case you will want to try out the steps here: Get help with missing photos.

If you still have access to your old iPhone, you can create a new backup of that iPhone using iCloud or iTunes, and then restore the new iPhone from that backup. Please note that any new data you've added to your iPhone XR would be erased since everything on that phone would be replaced with the data in the backup. Here's steps on how to back up and restore:
