Image Capture only works for scanning in "color" mode on my MacBook Pro running Catalina. The files it produces in Black and White or Text modes are not recognized PDFs or other file formats. Any solutions?
You do not have to use Image Capture to scan your documents/images.
Image Capture to transfer images and video clips to your Mac from many
cameras, iOS devices, iPadOS devices, and other devices that have a
camera.
Use your printer/scanner. (?)
My HP scanner doesn't work in Catalina. Their only suggested work around is Image Capture.
How do you get image capture to scan properly in Black and White or Text modes?
Thanks. It's an HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP. It's not on the list. Looks like VueScan is in my future. But why won't IC work in back and white or text mode?
PS--AirPrint doesn't support my printer/scanner and VueScan only supports it in Windows.
