Migration Assistant

I am using Migration Assistant to transfer files from my MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Air....it’s been saying ‘checking Rebecca’s MacBook Pro’ on my new machine for about 4 hours now..is this normal?!

im using WiFi to connect the two laptops.
