How can I rename my wireless earbuds?

I bought new wireless earbuds for my wife, but somehow they show up as mine. How can I rename them to see which ones are hers and which ones are mine?

Go to Settings in your iPhone, from there Bluetooth>then click on the "i" next to them in your connected devices list, then name.

Can't Rename Bose Headphones on iPhone A pair of Bose headphones I've just bought used on eBay show up on my iPhone 6 as RicksBose. I'd like to rename them but when I tap the "i" Name is not an option, just Forget This Device and Sync Contacts. Obviously someone has renamed them in the past, so I figure there must be a way for me to do the same. I've cleared the headphones of Bluetooth devices twice but they still show up as RicksBose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention they are the Apple wireless earbuds.

When I do that it only gives me the option to "forget this device."
