How to make video tour in Google Earth Pro, save in right file so I can import into FCPX

I can make a video tour in Google Earth Pro, but not sure what file to save it in. When I open it in Quick Time Player, it comes in blank. When I open it in Finder, the little wheel just spins forever. Is there a good YouTube video that shows what file or format to save the video tour in so it can be imported into FCPX?

I did like you said and the dropdown window opens, but quick time player is not in that list. A while back when I opened my computer one morning, there was a notice to up date my computer. So I said ok and pressed the start button. When it finished, I lost a lot of things I had, including music and other things in FCPX. There is a new folder on my desk top called "Relocated Items". I don't even mess with it, because I'm not sure what to do with it. I'm going to be taking my computer into the Apple store soon, but first, I want to get this Google Earth Pro thing figured out.

Hope you get this. The last few relies said I ran out of time, try later. Anyway, I did say I don't have quick time player in my Launch file or when I open the list like Tom said. I can fine it if I type the name in or I complete a movie, then it opens to show the movie. I think I'm going to call it a day on this Google Earth project. It really seems to be going into a another direction. I don't want to use quick time to do this, I want to use Google Earth Pro. If now one has a solution how to do this, I'll keep searching. Thanks for all your help Luis & Tom.

Hi Luis, that may be the problem. This Google Earth Pro may not be able to convert the videos. I looked at several YouTube videos and some said since Google Earth Pro was free, this were allowing people to make their own video tours. I did make a video using the steps some one showed in a video, but it's not the way I want to do it. He made it in JPEG. In the small test I made, it saved about 60 photos and I was able to import them into FCPX. I think someone else mentioned a Google Earth Special that works well. Thanks for your help. I guess I'll just keep looking.

If you record 10 seconds at 60 frames per second that will be 600 jpeg files. If it is one minute, that would be 3600 files. Importing this and using many jpeg files in FCP X, as you have experienced, is slow. On the other hand if this was a movie it would be easy for FCP X to handle. This is what I meant (the word “stills” as in “still images” referred to these jpeg files you were using).

Hi Tom, I did like you said. I opened Launchpad and started to type qui and the quick time player showed up. I clicked on it and it opened at the bottom right of my screen and another windowed opened showing quick time player in the Application. this whole thing I'm trying to do is becoming a nightmare. I'm trying to make a video tour in Google Earth Pro and save and import into FCPX. When I do finally get it into FCPX, it is nothing but black images. According to some of the YouTube videos, it is suppose to work in the free version of Google Earth Pro. Do you know how to do this?
