Track Pad Problems

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014)

Recently I have noticed my track pad has lost sensitivity to the movement of my fingers on it. Now it has started opening items and highlighting text all by itself. Can the track pad be replaced or is it too old?

All of a sudden it became too sensitive and without even touching it it was moving, selecting and deleting things on my desktop. How do I reboot it or control it? Inferior part of the trackpad issue Hi so i have the macbook air with the m1 chip for around 7 mounths, i just realized that a tiny portion of the inferior part of the trackpad doesnt register my finger moves, when i press it though it register my clicks and if i drag my finger from other places to the inferior part it works, is this a normal thing or should i consider replacing it?

Cleaning the trackpad may help.
