what is the best security for my new macbook 13?

Your brain, not anti-virus, or other so-called Mac cleaner utilities. The operating system has all of the built-in security that you need. Then you just need long, complicated passwords which are learned via repetitive typing.


Depending on your browsing and download habits, you may pick up adware/malware that alters the behavior of your browser, and for that, we recommend the free, Malwarebytes for Mac. It is specifically designed to identify and remove those two categories of stuff. A subscription to Malwarebytes is purely optional, and if you decide to remove it, look at its Help menu.
