Does anyone know of any security software for the Mac Mini which can be used please?
You don't need third party Security or AVware for macOS.

What year Mac mini?
Do not install any 3rd party software. It will only bog your Mac down.
Apple already has security pre-installed, especially if it's running Big Sur on a new Mac.
Just keep your system up to date with Apple updates.
If you have at least 8GB RAM then you can install Big Sur which has security built in.
Do a full backup before you do anything.
If you don't have 8GB, then don't install Big Sur.
Not necessary, avoid.
It is a late 2014 running OS10.10.5
