I’m trying to sign into my Apple TV+ app on my Apple TV. I get the verification code on my phone, but the Apple TV is not prompting me to enter the verification code.
If you have a 3rd gen model then you need to enter the password and code together. Since there is a time limit you will need to enter the password, then manually request a code and add it to the password.

im at that point right now. I have entered my I have entered my password and 6 diget code 3 times to no avail and now kicked off to go to iTunes to find my password which I know and have written down in front of me. I waited started over, same result. ???? I will go in and signoff and start over. Thanks for the help..
I have reset my password as prompted then when I get the verification code I enter it immediately following the password no spaces the message says I entered the wrong passcode but I did not in addition I cannot see the entire entry I have tried this too many times already & know that if I try one more I will need to change the passcode again what should I do I cannot acces my Apple TV
I have a generation 3 Apple TV - when I enter the password and the 6 digit verification do I put a space between the passowrd and the first digit and do I enter a space between the 3rd digit and the 4 digit?
I’ve been following the advice to sign out of Apple TV - done. Enter password and code together - done. It still comes up wrong password! I know it’s not, because I have even changed and used it elsewhere! I cannot get past the 2 step on Apple TV! So frustrated!
But where, pray tell, do I enter the verification code on my Apple TV 3rd generation. It does not prompt me for the code.
Thanks vazandrew, but here's the problem - when I use my Apple TV, I don't enter a password, so my question remains, how do I get the prompt to enter the password (plus the 6 digit code)?
It wouldn’t have been asking for verification if you were still signed in. There is no need for the attitude.
