Delete apps

I’ve tried Everything ! Can’t delete apps the way I used to ... can’t figure out why, or how to delete apps on my home screen !!

Would have been nice if you included what iPhone you have and what OS version. If it is an iPhone 11 don't press on the app you want to delete, lay your finger on it and slide to the left. If the app you are wanting to delete does not show an x next to it you cannot delete it.
