incorrect display of airpods charge

When the charge of the case becomes about 5%, the headphone charge is not displayed correctly.

When opening and closing the cover shows a different charge level.

Did anyone have such a problem?

Hi Denkhis,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! I understand you have a concern regarding the battery level percentage being displayed, and I'd like to help.

It sounds like when the Charging Case battery becomes lower than 5%, the battery level of each AirPod is not consistently accurate and changes. To confirm, does this happen when your Charging Case is at a higher battery percentage as well? This certainly could be related to the Charging Case not having enough power to properly read and report the battery level on each AirPod.

Do you charge your Charging Case with a Qi-certified charging mat? Or, do you charge via a wired connection, using the original Lightning cable that came with your AirPods? You can use a Lightning to USB-C cable or a Lightning to USB cable. Do you notice this behavior no matter what type of charging method is used? Charge your AirPods and learn about battery life - Apple Support.

If the behavior continues, you can try unpairing your AirPods from your companion iPhone, and then setting them up as new again to see if that improves the behavior. You can use these steps: Reset your AirPods - Apple Support.

Best regards.
