Using Strava on my Series 5. Initially my heart rate showed up on Strava. Then it started taking maybe a mile of running before the heart rate showed up. Now even after 5 miles the heart rate doesn't show up . . . seems to be searching. Heart rate show up fine using the Apple App. I have tried following the Strava heart rate suggestions from Apple Support and from Strava (uninstall on both watch and phone, reinstall, etc.). Suggestions??
Apple Watch
Honestly I bought this watch so I could use only a single watch as I had been using a Garmin (with Strava) for running and a different Garmin for golf. But honestly the Apple Watch is proving to be not that great for either one. I’m afraid I’ve spent a lot of money with nothing for me in return.
I'm having quite a lot of good experiences with the build-in apps from apple watch for tracking sport activities, to be fair. When it comes to third party apps integrations, it sometimes goes wrong as for example with Strava. I'm afraid the issue should be solved at the end of the third party provider... Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Cheers
Thanks Djioe! I have used Strava for years and all my running friends do too. There is quite a large support community and I really hate to give that up. But you are likely right . . . I may need to give up either Strava or my Apple Watch. And I really like the Apple Watch since I can make a phone call if I need to without having my iPhone with me. Also if I happen to fall it sure nice to have that fall detection. I guess I do need to just contact Strava one more time before I decide one way or the other. At least I did finally hear from Strava!

I really appreciate the suggestion fieryjack! But I've done this . . . even with the help of the Strava folks. I know it's set up correctly especially since the heart rate shows sometimes.
