REDUCE SCREEN SIZE (not resolution)

I broke the screen of my MacBook Pro and the lower and rightmost part are black. How can I resize my screen such that the not working parts of the display don't cover stuff I need to see? I mean, how can I shrink the screen to fit the part of the display that works?

Thanks

Greetings tommiboom,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand your MacBook Pro has damage to the screen, and you'd like to know how to reduce the display size to prevent damage from covering the viewing area.

Apart from changing the resolution, there isn't a way to reduce the display size of your Mac. An option you can consider is moving the position of the Dock: Change Dock preferences on Mac - Apple Support

You can see how to prepare and arrange service for your Mac from the following article: Get your Mac ready for service - Apple Support

Kind regards.
