Reminders won't upgrade (and stick) or sync on MacBook Pro, iMac, iPhone and iPad

How do you get the upgraded reminders to 1. upgrade and not re-request each time you open the app AND 2. sync AND 3. display your reminders without spending 15 min re-syncing every time you launch Reminders?

MacBook Pro Reminders not syncing I have opened Reminders on my MacBook Pro but do not have the upgrade option. My other Apple devices are syncing with Reminders but not my MacBook Pro. How can I get them to sync?

In addition, from the iCloud Reminders the server is not functioning ("server error") so I cannot use that service either.
