Car auto play music via Bluetooth

I know this is an issue that has plagued iPhone users for more than 6 years (a bit shocked Apple hasn’t figured this out yet) but all the forums I’ve found seem to people with an issue of anything automatically playing. My issue seems a bit different. I want my iPhone to autoplay, but I want it to keep playing what I was listening to when I turned off the car. The exact situation is: I’m listening to a podcast via the podcast app, I turn off my car, come back and turn it on, car auto plays a song from music. And it’s the same Taylor swift song so I assume it’s just the first one in my library. I have to physically get my phone, unlock it, and switch back to the podcast which is super annoying. Any advice?
