How do I get AirDrop to see the phone of someone already in my contacts? What is it looking to ‘match,’ since setting to Everyone works fine?

It works fine when we switch to Everyone. I have both the email address(es) and phone number for my wife on my phone, and I will double check her Contacts to ensure hers for me includes my address - it obviously does include the phone number...
