All of a sudden, Apple Watch battery drains in 1/2 day - Verizon

I was in an area with no Verizon service. Roaming was turned off. I also turned the bluetooth on my iPhone off. Could it be that the watch searching for service is draining the battery?

Hello Bahamas Beachcomber and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I see you have a question about Bluetooth, cellular and battery life on an Apple Watch.

If Bluetooth on the paired iPhone is turned off, then the Watch will continually try to connect to a cellular signal. This takes a lot more power than Bluetooth and will have a significant effect on battery life.

Cheers.
